Ocean Echo 1: Isla Isabel, Mexico

The purpose of keeping up this blog is to share with YOU a beauty of our planet. There are many spectacular places around the world and I have a chance to see some of them.
I am writing these lines with the sadness in my heart. My beloved mom passed away recently. I wish her peaceful rest on our beautiful planet.
Isla Isabel is an Ecological Reserve and National/Marine Park. Isla Isabel is also called the Mexican Galapagos.

It is a beautiful island, which is accessible only by boat. Approximately 45 nm - 90km west of San Blas, half way between Banderas Bay and Mazatlan. The Island is home to frigate birds (size of eagle), blue and yellow footed boobies, sea gulls, pelicans and many other kinds of birds. Rock crabs are very colorful, but very shy and it is difficult to get close to them for picture taking.
Seasonal fishermen living on this island set the nets over night, there for navigation around this island in the dark is not recommended.
New born birds are visible everywhere on this island at the beginning of the year.
I do not want to bore you with so many pictures of birds and island, but it is a special place. This is only a fraction of total amount of pictures I took there in just a two days. I will be definitely stopping by again on my way south in a few months.
