Princess Louisa Inlet and Chatterbox Falls, B.C. - 2020

It has been a while since my last post in this blog. Year 2020 has turned out NOT too well for most of us around the World. Covid-19 made life changes for all of us. I do not think that we will ever end up living the way we were living before Covid-19 screw-up.
The year 2020 started not too well for me (as I mentioned in my last blog from the Philippines). I ended up having minor surgery, which influenced my life for a few months. By spring Covid-19 issues hit us all. Travel restrictions forced all of us to change our plans for 2020.
I have spent summer months sailing/cruising local waters inside the Strait of Georgia. I was happy to be able to enjoy my sailboat during the summer wherever it was. I am planning to sail back to the West Coast of BC in summer 2021. Will see how all goes for us.
Princess Louisa Inlet and Chatterbox Falls are located inside Jervis Inlet not far from Vancouver, BC. Pender Harbor is the closest harbor for provisioning and fuel.
Jervis Inlet itself is very spectacular (deep and steep). It has been many years since I have visited this area with my sailboat. Early June was very quiet in Princess Louisa Inlet. Summer months get very busy in Princess Louisa Inlet since it is a very popular destination for tourism. Mountain glaciers were still covered with plenty of snow in June. Jervis Inlet had many waterfalls and cascades along the way. Princess Louisa Inlet itself had at least 10-12 waterfalls and cascades inside. Quite spectacular without marine traffic.
Malibu rapids at the entrance to Princess Louisa Inlet are always challenging for bigger boats. Malibu resort near the rapids is now quite developed with large log homes and structures.
It was very nice to see the changes while enjoying quiet time.
The rest of the summer was spent in the central Strait of Georgia. Just hanging out on the boat in difficult times.
World is in a problematic stage with many difficult situations. Let's hope that everything gets better with the time and life becomes less complicated for all of us!
