It has been a while since my last blog entry. I found out not too long ago, that all the pictures disappeared from my blogs from 2010-2013 due to export/import from WordPress to Blogger. It took a few days to renew all these blogs, all good now!
The purpose of this simple blog/website is to share the beauty of our planet with the public and maintaining history of my trips.
I sold my sailboat "Ocean Echo 1" in 2024 and purchased RV/campervan. I spent most of winter 2024-25 modifying and upgrading my RV to make it more practical for travelling (I used a lot of ideas from the boat systems).
Most of my last summer road trips were around British Columbia's southern coast and the mountains near the coast.
This blog entry is from traveling around the Vancouver Island from the North to West and South shores. Vancouver Island is approximately 400 km long and 100 km wide. It is separated from Vancouver mainland by the Strait of Georgia channel approx. 30-40 km wide.
West coast of Vancouver Island is wild, rough and beautiful with many islands. I have spent many years sailing and exploring the west coast of Vancouver Island in the past (previous blogs).
I will be posting more blog entries in next few days (weeks) from the last summer trips.
